Today is a day of remembering and honoring the bravery and sacrifice of veterans and their families. So, thank a Vet! And don’t forget the families who take care of the home turf and allow those in military service to do what they do. 

I want to say Thank You to my family, friends, and former students who are currently serving and who have served in the military. Without their sacrifice, America would be a very different place and we owe you a huge debt of gratitude for your service.

I have had the pleasure of teaching military students in my graduate courses, I’ve also developed strong relationships with those who went through my CNS program at the University of Colorado, College of Nursing. These students were brilliant and dedicated to excellence, in all they did. They were the only students, I’m sure, to read everything  I assigned for class! 🙂 

It was truly my honor to know them and teach them.  I’m proud to say that many are still my friends. I will forever be grateful for what they taught me and added to my life!
