This Start Here page is provided to give you information about navigating this site.

First, just know that if you see the abbreviation NEE – that stands for Nursing Education Expert. It’s just easier sometimes, you know?

Second, my goal is that you have an excellent member experience. But, unfortunately, sometimes things go wrong. If I know that something is not working correctly, I’ll give you a heads up on the Members Only page. But if you don’t see a message from me and something is wrong, do email me and let me know. I will work hard to fix the issue.

And just by the way, it’s only me as far as member support goes, too – I don’t have a team to help me out (~ maybe one day ~). So, if something’s not working right, just be nice when you let me know.

I can’t man the website or check my inbox 24/7, so I put up an FAQ page that might help you through a minor problem until I wake up and get back to work! 🙂 I plan to answer emails within 48 hours during normal weekday business hours, but if I have the ability to deal with the issue quickly, I’ll do so. Overall, I promise to do what’s right and make any adjustments to your account, etc. if the problem is on my end.

And, of course, any messages about how you are enjoying my site will always be appreciated! 🙂

As a new user, I just want to familiarize you with what you’ll find in the pages on this site. This Start Here page does just that! Most of you will go straight to the Blog & Podcasts page. That’s fine. When you want to explore you can come here for some general info or just strike out on your own!

All members receive a Newsletter with news and special member perks from the NEE website. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email.

Your membership level will determine which content and resources you will be able to fully access. For example, the Premier membership gives you the most access and the Free membership the least. The NEE Insider level will get you access to the majority of resources and the Premier level gets you access to everything, plus me! And while in development, my Student to RN Success Path course will be available to both levels of paid membership.

You can always go to the Membership Plans page for a quick comparison of the different plans and pricing. If you want to upgrade your membership from Free to NEE Insider or Premier, the easiest way is to click on the My Account page, then click on Subscriptions, and then on Change Plan.

Note about Affiliate Links: I don’t have ads on my website, so membership fees, my eBooks and other products, and small commissions from affiliate links are the only way I can continue to provide you with excellent content and resources – and you can see that there is a lot of great content and resources that are still free. Thanks for understanding and supporting my work!

start here with great content

Here’s what you’ll find on the site in terms of content.

Free and Premium Blog Posts: Access blog posts from the Blog & Podcasts item on the Menu bar above. Or, on the right-hand side of the page, you’ll see the Blog & Podcast Categories link where you can find posts related to a specific topic or just type in key terms in the Search bar.

If you are not logged in you will see a request to Login to access the content. Once logged in, if you click on a post for which you don’t have access, you won’t be able to read the full post unless you upgrade your membership.

Most of the blog posts do not have audio or video offerings, yet. But I will eventually add audio and/or video to each blog post so that you can read, listen, and/or watch the content!

Nursing Resources page: This page contains my choices of companies or businesses that provide good resources for nursing students and practicing nurses. Test prep, textbooks, nursing schools, productivity resources, and others are listed on these pages. I am very particular about the companies I put on my website. I only choose products I think will be of value to you and will only recommend those products and companies I’ve used and/or have vetted.

Full disclosure: I do not charge advertising fees so to keep my website going, I am an affiliate for some, but not all, of the resources I list, such as Amazon, Grammarly, Mometrix, and Blinkist. That means I may get a small commission if you click on a link and buy something from those businesses or companies when going through my link. There is NEVER an extra cost to you when using affiliate links, I promise! I do not get any free products or compensation for my recommendation (other than the possible commission).

The page labeled eBook Resources outlines my current series of eBooks and includes any Amazon links to references listed in the chapters of my eBooks for convenient ordering. Currently, all of my eBooks are FREE for the paid membership levels. If you don’t want to become a member, but still want an eBook you can purchase one here

Members Only page: This is a place for messages from me to the members. I’ll provide information about what’s been recently added to the site for your convenience and include any events or special time-sensitive benefits. (This also is where I’ll put any information about technical problems if needed.) I’ll put links to occasional member surveys on this page, too.

Nursing Education Expert (NEE) Library page: This is the overview page to house educational content and resources available only to members. The NEE Library consists of the NEE Knowledge Vault and the NEE Education Center pages, which are accessible to NEE Insider and Premier members. Resources that are available to ALL members, including the Free Plan, are on the NEE Library page. Go check them out!

NEE Forum: Currently, there is a forum for sharing your thoughts regarding the free video series: How to Thrive in Nursing School. The Forum is there if you want to take advantage of it, but it is not required to view the videos. Be sure to read the Community Forum Rules before you interact.

Membership plans page: Compares the different membership plans. You can sign up from these pages initially. But, it’s probably easier to upgrade or downgrade your plan from your My Account page. Click on Subscriptions and then Change Plan when you get there.

FAQ page: Start here for troubleshooting and answers to questions about logins, memberships, the forum, and your account. (I’ll continue to add answers to this page as I get more questions.)
